The legendary Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is returning to the Fox Theatre from February 11-15, 2026. Experience the passion, precision, and powerful storytelling by one of the most acclaimed dance companies in the world.
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is known for embodying artistic excellence and Black cultural legacy.
This is the first season helmed by new Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack, a former long-time star dancer with
Ailey and then dean and director of the Dance Division at the Juilliard School. This year’s six performances will feature two different programs. Audiences will be treated to premieres:
-Song of the Anchorite by Jamar Roberts, a powerful meditation on passion and devotion danced to jazz
trumpeter Avishai Cohen’s interpretation of a Ravel adagio.
-Embrace by Fredrick Earl Mosley, which examines the ups and downs of human connections to popular
songs by Stevie Wonder, Kate Bush, Ed Sheeran, Des'ree, and P!nk.
-A Case of You by Artistic Director Emerita Judith Jamison, an emotionally intense showstopper danced to
Diana Krall’s sultry rendition of the classic Joni Mitchell song.
-Blink of an Eye by Medhi Walerski, an intriguing piece that probes the relationship between dance and
music.
All performances will close with Alvin Ailey’s beloved masterpiece Revelations, the ultimate anthem to resilience
and joy.
