‘Purple Rhapsody’ is a community event brought to you by See It Through Foundation of Gwinnett, a local non-profit whose core mission is to create a platform to help at-risk youth, families and the elderly by empowering and promoting positive change for better lives within the metro Atlanta community. The Foundation’s goals are accomplished by Mentoring, Education and Community Development programs through partnerships with local civic and faith-based organizations. Proceeds from ‘Purple Rhapsody’ benefit the Foundation’s annual scholarship program, endowment and its various philanthropic causes. ‘Purple Rhapsody’ is truly a musical and cultural experience for a great cause.
As interest has grown over the years, we’ve expanded the artist lineup to include multiple music genres – Jazz, R&B, Neo Soul and Old School Funk. We’ve added more vendors and cultural exhibitors, and moved to one of the top outdoor venues in the Southeast for music played under the stars – The Bowl @ Sugar Hill. This year’s edition boasts a powerful lineup featuring Q Parker of the multi-platinum selling, Grammy-award-winning R&B group “112”, jazz artist/trumpeter Willie Bradley, Phillippia and the Phixx and considered one of the top R&B cover bands in the Southeast – Gritz & Jelly Butter.
